Customer Spotlight: Interior Design Custom T-Shirts

March 30th, 2008

One of the questions that we get most often from callers is if we print custom t-shirts with artwork already created offline. This is the most common for companies that already have a logo and just want it printed on some t-shirts. It’s easy, just upload them to us.

Here are some custom t-shirts we printed for an interior design firm:

5 Quick Tips for Saving Money on Printed T-Shirts

March 28th, 2008

Does the price sound unusually high? It may be something that you don’t realizing is driving the price up for your custom printed t-shirts. Here are 5 quick tips to save you money on your next custom printed t-shirts:

  1. Go with white or grey printed t-shirts
White and Grey T-shirts cost the least from the wholesalers to the printers and the print process is much less labor intensive for these tee shirts.
  2. Lower the amount of printed ink colors
Custom t-shirt pricing is largely based on the amount of printed ink colors.
  3. Lower the amount of print locations
Each location adds to the amount of ink colors and increases the amount of labor it takes to finish the print job.
  4. Raise the quantity of t-shirts
Buying a very small quantity (<24) raises the price per shirt because of the amount of set-up involved.
  5. Go with a basic t-shirt
Specialty t-shirts cost more blank from the wholesalers to the printers before the printing process.

Underbasing on Dark T-Shirts, Part 2

March 26th, 2008

When underbasing for screen printed t-shirts (laying down a white print underneath your artwork on dark t-shirts) it is very important to not print white underneath any of the black or metallic silver portions of the t-shirt designs. The black ink will print out a lighter shade than true black and the metallic silver will lose a lot of its pop.

Just a small tip for you.  :)

March 25th, 2008

We recently had a customer contact us with a description of what they wanted but hadn’t quite put it together. We told them no problem and started to create their design for custom t-shirts. We came up with the first design and we were close but not quite there. After two more tweaks we had just what they were looking for. Here are the t-shirt designs in order:
