5 Quick Tips for Saving Money on Printed T-Shirts

March 28th, 2008

Does the price sound unusually high? It may be something that you don’t realizing is driving the price up for your custom printed t-shirts. Here are 5 quick tips to save you money on your next custom printed t-shirts:

  1. Go with white or grey printed t-shirts
White and Grey T-shirts cost the least from the wholesalers to the printers and the print process is much less labor intensive for these tee shirts.
  2. Lower the amount of printed ink colors
Custom t-shirt pricing is largely based on the amount of printed ink colors.
  3. Lower the amount of print locations
Each location adds to the amount of ink colors and increases the amount of labor it takes to finish the print job.
  4. Raise the quantity of t-shirts
Buying a very small quantity (<24) raises the price per shirt because of the amount of set-up involved.
  5. Go with a basic t-shirt
Specialty t-shirts cost more blank from the wholesalers to the printers before the printing process.

It’s great for the researchers but horrible for traditional librarians!
  4. RTFM
