With Halloween less than a month away we thought it was time to help you get into the mood for all things eerie, creepy, and crawly. With that in mind we scoured the internet to find you five the scariest, most recent t-shirt designs out there. Keep in mind that these aren’t strictly Halloween designs since, undoubtedly, we’ll see an explosion of those over the coming weeks. No, for now these are but an appetizer for what is to come.

Death Box
Here’s a creepy spin on the jack in the box classic. With this scary t-shirt we find the grim reaper himself popping out of the box. The shadows add a great deal of depth to the design and make it an all around popular choice regardless of the season.

The Last Unicorn
I confess this design has me a bit confused. Is the angel riding a dragon and the pair battling a flaming skull which is trying to eat the unicorn, or is the dragon breathing the flaming skull that is trying to eat the unicorn with the angel fighting the dragon? OR is the angel (demon?) riding the dragon who is breathing the flaming skull at the angel (demon?)’s behest? In any case, the unicorn looks like it is about to become lunch.

Eye for an Eye
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always found eyes a bit scary when they aren’t in someone/something’s skull. The red veins show artistic skill and add to the gruesomeness. Definitely a chilling shirt.

Tigerman
What I find so creepy about this one is that it really does seem like the perfect blend between feline and human, and both aspects of the creature’s personality seem thoroughly enraged and ready to leap off the shirt and devour anyone who looks at it wrong.

Bloody Kitten
Is there anyone out there who DOESN’T find a bloody kitten unnerving? You may not think kittens are cute any more after seeing this one.

One of the hottest trends out there at the moment is creating t-shirts with robot designs. Robots have remained a focal point of interest for our fantasies, and sci-fi dreams since they first appeared. With technology developing as quickly as it is they seem closer than ever and that undoubtedly accounts for much of the spike in fascination. Robots also lend themselves to human experiences and are among the most anthropomorphized entities out there. That’s why here at You Design It, we’re proud to bring you a list of our top five favorite robot t-shirt designs. Enjoy!

Dance of the Robots

This is a witty and very amusing twist on the Matisse’s classic painting “La Danse.” Great robot themed parody!

Oil is Evil

This is an excellent shirt for all the spirited, environmentalists out there. Looks like this robot is having a rough day.

Do the Robot

Don’t go to any dance without these moves in your arsenal. Or, just wear this shirt and you won’t have to dance at all. You’ll get too much respect for this one.

Robot Attack

All-over prints are another hot trend. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that an all over print featuring robots gets two big thumbs up.

You Complete Me

Another fine example of using robot designs to poke fun at pop culture.

One of the hottest advertizing trends right now is to trumpet your company’s “greenness”. It’s understandable that with so much focus on the environment and global warming that this is going to be a hot button claim. Here in the t-shirt world, organic is of course the catchphrase attached to a company’s greenness. What we’ve found though, is that very often despite their very good intentions, people are frequently unwilling to trade style for eco-friendly products. But why should they have to? There’s no reason an organic t-shirt can’t be just as stylish and well-designed as a standard one. With that in mind we’ve scoured design pages and come up with a list of our top five favorite organic t-shirt designs. Enjoy!

Earth – A Work in Progress

Organic tees right now are pretty synonymous with environmental themes. This one shows that the Earth is still a “work in progress”.

Inhabitat’s Green Roots/Lungs

This is a top-notch design and a great location for the print.

Birds On A Wire

A simple, elegant design that’s very much in line with the popular, basic bird trend we’ve been seeing. Great job.

Laugh Often

It takes a special confidence by the designer and retailer to produce and carry shirts with just simple text. In this case, it was done the right way with a great color combination and an inspiring message.

Factory Green – Don’t Suck

Is there a better t-shirt design with the gas prices these days? Organic tees can be funny too.
