TeeFury Has An Extraordinary Tee

January 8th, 2009

Yesterday’s Teefury shirt is extraordinary.  Really.  Check it out:

Extraordinary Tee

Robbie Lee has served up an original, interesting design and many people will probably enjoy wearing it simply for the fact that it will say “Extra-Ordinary!” on their chests.

I’m really liking the thick, amusing hair that the robot has.  It really adds a great deal to the character of the piece. The gradients and fading is pretty cool too.

On the Prowl Tee

December 28th, 2008

The following is the winner of the Shirt.Woot’s One Continuous Line Derby:

On The Prowl Tee

It’s a good design regardless, and I really like the placement, but the fact that it’s done in one continuous line really makes it amazing. Line art is increasing in popularity and Shirt.Woot prefers the single color designs making line art perfect for that category.

Little Red Riding Hood T-Shirt

December 26th, 2008

Threadless has a new shirt out which puts an amusing spin on the Little Red Riding Hood story.

Little Red Riding Hood Artwork

This brilliant design depicts Red as an icy fashionista who happily kills the wolf for a new animal skin hood. The details and concept are exceptional.  I love the gun she’s discretely tucking away in the basket (or perhaps pulling it out to shoot herself some brand new shoes?), and the expression on her face is priceless.  The background scenery is also very subtle and well-done and does a great job focusing attention where it belongs on Mrs. Riding Hood.

T-Shirt Blog Linkup

December 5th, 2008

It’s that time again…you know the time when we give a shout out to the top blogs of the week. Check out these gems!

TeeFury Has a Cool One from Taddict
Really cool design, as Taddict says it’s pretty amazing that TeeFury is able to come up with a new shirt each day. This is definitely one of their best.

Hannari Tofu, your Funny Japanese Friend from Cottonable
Cottonable certainly dug up an interesting t-shirt line with this one! Who can resist shirts featuring Japanese food?

Blue Sky from Buythistshirt.org
It’s hard not to appreciate such a beautiful, realistic rendering. Fantastic shirt.

Iron Maiden Number of the Best World Tour 1982 from Defunkd
In keeping with their objective of bringing us the best Iron Maiden T-Shirts defunkd brings us a couple of more very cool ones. Gotta love the camo sleeves.

Threadless Sale from Compete-tee-tion
Threadless is having another sale and Compete-tee-tion has found us some of the very best shirts on sale. My two favorites are “Boynado” and “Musical Chairs.”

Markertees from Pop Culture Tees
I think the best way to sum up this blog and T-Shirt company is to quote Liz, “It’s a concept that has made appearances off and and on in the last few years, but I think these guys are the first to make a go at having their whole brand built around writable tees.”

The Big Boys on Sale from Funky Duds
In the past we’ve often pointed out how the t-shirt world enjoys depicting rabbits as evil and violent. This latest design, complete with a bloody axe, is certainly in keeping with that vein.

Threadless now has a kids store from Hide Your Arms
Threadless has opened its first kids’ store and that’s certainly big enough news to be acknowledged in our weekly top blogs.

Celebri-Tee: The It Crowd from Militant Geek Custom
This design certainly qualifies as a terrific geek shirt. It’s taken from the BBC sitcom “The IT Crowd” but it doesn’t take a fan of the show to enjoy the shirt.

$9 TeeFury: The Wave is Forever from Shirts on Sale
Yep, that’s right, this week we’re featuring two blogs about TeeFury shirts. They’re hard to ignore when they’re low price and high quality. This one depicts a surfing samurai.

Artists Series T-Shirts at Resist Today from T-Shirts Around the Internet
This may actually be my favorite design of the week. It features a plant growing from the green veins of a human brain/face. Check it out.

New 90’s Style T-Shirts from Kill The Label from Tcritic
The 90’s are hard to ignore and these shirts certainly epitomize that influential decade. Whether you hate them or love them you’ll have trouble ignoring them.

Don’t Trust Bunnies from The Daily Tee
We’re just a shocked as you are. Imagine TWO bunny designs in one week! Anyway if you haven’t gotten the message yet, DON’T TRUST BUNNIES!

Dale Edwin Murray from Thunderfrogs
Dale Edwin Murray is an incredibly talented, original designer and this Thunderfrogs feature is very informative and fun to read.

Buy 1 get 1 free at The T-Shirt Gang from Troundup
Unfortunately the sale is now over, but that doesn’t mean these great tees aren’t worth the standard price.

Uneetee Prints the Predator

November 26th, 2008

Uneetee has a pretty interesting new shirt out.  It’s called “The Predator” and it features an all over print of a fierce looking tiger.  Check it out:

Uneetee Predator T-Shirt

This is a really great looking design and the placement and positioning of the print really set the design off. It’s amazing how different the two versions of the shirt look.  In my opinion the colored version is the hot one. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

A Little Help for Linty Fresh

November 21st, 2008

One of the blogs/clothing lines that we follow regularly is called Linty Fresh out of Marietta Georgia.  They are an operation that is founded and run by one single guy named Eric Terry.  He does one heck of a job doing it too.

One of the things he is doing to get a bigger following fo his products are videos that show his personality.  His latest video had a few tips for a fan that e-mailed him asking him questions about starting a t-shirt line.  His designs are awesome and his skills are very advanced and you can easily witness this in the tutorial he gave on separating colors for a printer. Since we are a fan of his, we would like to reach out to give him a little tip on separating his colors inside Illustrator (the native program he creates his designs in).

Linty Fresh

In the video he took his vector artwork from Illustrator and opened it up in Photoshop.  We recently completed a tutorial for VectorTuts that explains the quick process of separating your colors within Illustrator.  This way, he doesn’t have to deal with a raster version of his artwork, nor the pain of taking the design from one program to another.

It is worth giving a try and we hope it helps with Linty Fresh’s well-deserved success.  Click on the picture below to see the tutorial.
